15.5. SA Federal Possession of Firearms by Prohibited Persons Act

It is unlawful for convicted felons, individuals under active restraining orders, fugitives, or persons legally disqualified due to mental health reasons to possess, acquire, or transport firearms.

Penalty:

• Up to 96 Months imprisonment

• Fine up to $200,000

• Mandatory seizure and forfeiture of all firearms and related weaponry in the individual’s possession
