13.3. LS Federal Stalking and Harassment Act

Defined as the intentional and repeated following, contacting, or harassment of an individual that causes the victim emotional distress or fear for their safety. This includes threats, unwanted communication, and physical or digital stalking.

Charge Type: Felony Sentence: Up to 90 Months imprisonment Fine: $50,000

Additional Penalties:

  • Court-issued restraining orders or no-contact directives

  • Potential civil suits for emotional distress or damages
