12.5. LS Federal Felony Murder Rule

If a death occurs during the commission of a felony (e.g., armed robbery, kidnapping, drug trafficking), the individual committing the felony may be charged with first-degree murder, even if the death was accidental.

Penalty: Life imprisonment without the possibility of parole or the death penalty, depending on the circumstances.
