7.1. Terrorism

Terrorism Defined as the use or threat of violence, intimidation, or disruption to coerce or influence government policy or civilian behavior through fear.

  • Sentence: Up to 30 years imprisonment, life imprisonment if death occurs or if explosives/mass violence is used

  • Fine: Unlimited; subject to judicial discretion

  • Designation: Offenders may be flagged as federal security threats and denied bail or parole
