It is unlawful for convicted felons, individuals under active restraining orders, fugitives, or persons legally disqualified due to mental health reasons to possess, acquire, or transport firearms.

Penalty:

• Sentence: 36 Months Fine: $2,500

• Mandatory seizure and forfeiture of all firearms and related weaponry in the individual’s possession
