11.5. LS Federal Death by Distribution Act

If a person dies as a direct result of consuming illegal substances distributed by another individual (e.g., opioids, methamphetamine, etc.), the distributor may be charged with murder or manslaughter.

Penalty: Up to life imprisonment, depending on the substance involved and the severity of the death.
